China Airlines are launching a new non-stop service between London Gatwick and Taipei's Taoyuan International from 1st December 2017. The new A350 fleet will be deployed to offer four flights a week departing every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, making China Airlines the only airline in Taiwan to offer non-stop flights to London. Plus, China Airlines plan to demonstrate their ambition and commitment to the service by increasing the service from four to five flights per week on 25th March 2018, with an additional Tuesday flight.
The route will be operated on a A350-900 XWB aircraft which features 32 Premium Business Class, 31 Premium Economy Class and 243 Economy Class seats. The new service has a flight time of just over 13 hours and travellers who opt to fly direct with China Airlines can save three to seven hours on transit or stop-over time. Transit customers will also benefit from more great options to Australia, as China Airlines Taipei to Sydney route will increase to two daily services and the Taipei-Brisbane-Auckland will be upgraded to a daily service from the 1st December 2017.
