Joint venture partners Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines are expanding their summer schedule to give customers a better choice of flights from the UK regions: London, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast, to the US this summer.
Delta resumes the UK’s only direct seasonal services from London to Salt Lake City from 2nd April and to Portland, Oregon, from 4th May. Virgin Atlantic will re-introduce seasonal flights between Manchester and Las Vegas, San Francisco and Boston. Virgin will also treble the number of seats available between Belfast International and Orlando.
Delta will operate daily services from both Glasgow and Edinburgh airports to New York JFK and increase capacity with the larger Airbus A330 serving its twice daily Heathrow route. Whilst Virgin will raise the capacity to JFK from Manchester with the introduction of a Boeing 747 on the route from May and introduce a sixth daily frequency from Heathrow.
The changes reflect the company’s strong ambitions provide the best service and experience possible across the Atlantic by creating greater choice of flights and making connections even easier for customers during the peak summer travel season.
