The recent launch of Virgin Atlantic and Airpotr means that passengers can now check in luggage at any central London address ahead of departures from both Gatwick and Heathrow.
The service costs from:
£30 for collection and check-in of one piece of baggage with a one-hour slot
£40 for four pieces with a three-hour slot
How it works:
Select a pick up slot that suits you, usually the evening before you flight or on the same day. A driver will come to collect and weigh the luggage, scan passengers’ passports and boarding passes, and seals the luggage in coded tamper-proof bags. Customers will then be sent IATA bag receipts after the airport screening around 90 minutes before take-off.
The carrier is the latest to launch with Airportr alongside Cathay Pacific, British Airways , American Airlines, Finnair and Easyjet.
