Jet Airways additional India service

Jet Airways will be increasing its capacity from London Heathrow to Mumbai. With effect from 29th Ocotber 2017, Jet Airways will be offering four daily flights from London Heathrow to India, with three flights to Mumbai and one flight to Delhi. The daily flights to New Delhi and Mumbai will provide connections to Jet Airways full network of 48 destinations within India including Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Goa, Kolkata and Amritsar in India, plus destinations in the Indian subcontinent and Asia such as Dhaka, Bangladesh; Kathmandu, Nepal; and Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Singapore Airlines new KrisFlyer benefits and rewards

Singapore Airlines has introduced additional perks to its PPS Club program for June 2017. The PPS Club is the most exclusive tier within Singapore Airlines’ frequent flyer programme, KrisFlyer.

Among the new benefits exclusive to PPS Club members are the non-expiry of KrisFlyer miles, priority access to Saver Award redemption inventory, and fast track security and immigration clearance at selected airports.

Life with Style Awards nomination for The Aberdeen Altens Hotel

We would like to congratulate The Aberdeen Altens Hotel who have been announced as a finalist for Hotel of the Year at the prestigious 2017 Life with Style Awards.

As well as being a finalist, one of the team’s proudest achievements is their Trip Advisor performance. Since April 2016, the Hotel has consistently featured in the top five out of 64 hotels in Aberdeen and in March 2017 achieved top three status for the first time.

Norwegian’s new Dublin and Shannon routes include US Preclearance

Norwegian has announced that new low-cost transatlantic flights from Ireland to the US East Coast will include use of the U.S Preclearance facilities at Dublin and Shannon airports for passengers.

In July, Norwegian will begin a series of affordable transatlantic routes from Ireland to airports on the US east coast offering access into New York, Boston and New England.

From Dublin and Shannon, Norwegian offers flights to Stewart International Airport in New York State, along with Providence Airport which offers a gateway into Boston and New England.

Emirates enhanced A380 Onboard Lounge

Emirates will launch a series of new cabin products and enhancements in 2017 for both its A380 and Boeing 777 fleet including a multi-million dollar cabin interior upgrade programme. The new Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge is currently being installed onto one of Emirates’ brand new A380 aircraft at the Airbus’ facilities, and will make its operational debut in July 2017.

Traveleads - Raising money to support disabled children and young people

Last week we shared the news that our Edinburgh team had volunteered to spend some time putting their fabulous culinary skills to good use.
Maggie Monteith (Traveleads Director of Sales) said “When we heard local children’s charity ‘The Yard’ were holding a fundraising bake sale to sustain their ongoing projects our wonderful team headed straight to the kitchen.” The Yard provides interactive, safe spaces for disabled children and young people.
Thanks to everyone’s efforts last weekend the Traveleads team raised £300.00, which has gone directly to the charity.

Lufthansa’s on-board internet packages

Lufthansa have launched a choice of high-speed internet packages on short- and medium-haul flights. Passengers have a choice of three internet packages; FlyNet Message for €3, FlyNet Surf for €7 and FlyNet Stream for €12 per flight which can be paid for using a card or online payment option PayPal. Internet access will shortly be available on 19 Lufthansa, 31 Austrian Airlines and 29 Eurowings aircraft, with additional aircraft being equipped throughout 2017 after the technology was successfully tested in the past few months.

Singapore Airlines will operate world-first 'Green Package' flights

Committed to the global effort to reduce international aviation emissions, Singapore Airlines in partnership with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore has started operating a series of 12 ‘Green Package’ flights over a three-month period on its non-stop San Francisco-Singapore route. The ‘Green Package’ flights combine the use of sustainable biofuels, optimised flight operations, which will reduce fuel burn and carbon emissions, and Singapore Airlines’ latest-generation fuel-efficient Airbus A350-950.

British Airways improve New York JFK Terminal 7

Regular travellers through New York JFK Terminal 7 will soon start to notice some changes. British Airways are investing $67m in their facilities and lounges at Terminal 7 over the next 20 months and are working hard to create a new and improved airport experience.

A better journey - The refurbished terminal will include a spacious, light new concourse area, conveniently placed check-in desks and extra seating at the gate area.
