Emirates plan A380 exclusive Melbourne route

Emirates’ will provide an all-A380 service from 25th March next year when it upgrades its third daily flight from Dubai and Melbourne. The upgrade will add 945 seats a week to the route, representing a 10% increase in capacity and meaning Emirates passengers can enjoy even more seamless “A380 to A380” connections via its hub in Dubai to 18 points in the UK and Europe.

 In addition, together with partner airline Qantas’ new B787 London to Melbourne service via Perth, beginning on 24th March 2018, passengers now have even more options from the UK and Europe.

Flybe's new Hamburg route

Flybe will launch a new year-round service between Birmingham and Hamburg on 10th July. The route will start with four flights per week with additional frequency for winter. Hamburg is Germany’s second largest city and has the country’s biggest port, making it an important economic hub and a great city break destination too. Connecting Hamburg with Britain’s second largest city will be of huge benefit to trade and business relations. The route will join an extensive schedule and be Flybe’s sixth German destination from Birmingham Airport.

Air France KLM’s summer schedule

Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic new joint home at Los Angeles International Airport

There are big changes afoot at Los Angeles International Airport. Delta Air Lines are undertaking one of the largest terminal moves in commercial aviation history, and shifting all its operations from Terminals 5 and 6 to Terminals 2 and 3. This is the first step of Delta’s $1.9 billion investment that will see its two new terminals upgraded over the next four years. The move has taken place over five days, with completion on the 17th May. This means from late May, Delta will be co-located with Virgin Atlantic at LAX Terminal 2.
