JFK Airport is to Undergo $13bn Renovation

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has promised that a new $13billion project will make JFK - which currently ranks among the lower-rated airports in the U.S. - “one of the finest airports in the world.”

The newly unveiled plans include adding two new international terminals, which will increase the airports passenger capacity from 60 million in 2017 to 80 million by 2035.

New LNER Hitachi “Azuma” Fleet To Be Installed With State-of-the-Art Wi-Fi

LNER (London North Eastern Railways) have chosen Icomera to deliver Next Generation passenger Wi-Fi on their new “Azuma” fleet of 65 Hitachi intercity Express trains. The project is set to be completed by early 2020.

Icomera will implement its new 5G ready X5 mobile access and applications router on board, meaning LNER passengers will be amongst the first to experience Icomeras new technology.

Additional rail compensation scheme goes live

TransPennine Express (TPE) has today launched an extra compensation scheme for rail customers following the May timetable change.
 
Non-season ticket holders (for example, those that work part-time) who were affected by the disruption are being given the chance to apply for a full refund on specific routes across the North.
The scheme is in addition to the existing compensation scheme already available for season ticket holders.

Virgin Atlantic Conduct First Ever Biofuel Commercial Flight

On Tuesday 2nd October 2018, Virgin Atlantic marked a historical moment for green aviation. The Boeing 747 used to operate the VS16 flight from Orlando to London Gatwick was partly powered by jet fuel made from recycled industrial waste from a steel mill.
