Emirates second daily A380 to Birmingham

Emirates will introduce a second daily A380 service between Dubai and Birmingham on the 29th October 2017. The route increase is due to huge demand from customers and, has also led to an upgrade to the iconic and highly popular Emirates A380. The A380’s popularity is partly due to the fact that it features the widest individual in-seat Economy Class screens in the industry, measuring in at 13.3 inches and offers over 2,500 channels on inflight entertainment system, ice.

Monarch Airlines ceases trading

The UK aviation regulator, the Civil Aviation Authority, have today announced that Monarch Airlines has ceased trading. Liverpool Lime Street station three week closure

Liverpool Lime Street station will be closed from Saturday 30th September until Sunday 22nd October 2017 to allow Network Rail to remodel the platforms, replace tracks and upgrade the signalling. As a result, both Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool Moorfields Station are expected to be busier than usual.

When complete, the refurbishment project will enable an extra three services per hour in and out of Lime Street station, including new direct services to Scotland. Longer platforms will also allow bigger trains, with more space for passengers, in and out of the station.

Introducing the SAS New Experience

SAS Scandinavian Airlines are upgrading their fleet with 30 new A320neo aircraft, the most efficient and environmentally-friendly aircraft for mid-range travel. The A320neo burns 15-20% less fuel per flight compared to the aircraft used today, and will therefore help SAS achieve its sustainability goals.

Norwegian Air UK launches Gatwick to Singapore route

From the 28th September 2017 Norwegian Air UK will offer low-cost flights to its first Asian destination, Singapore's Changi Airport. This will be the first long-haul service to be operated by Norwegian's UK-based subsidiary, Norwegian UK. Four weekly flights, increasing to five from 30th October 2017, will be operated on Norwegian's new 787 Dreamliner aircraft offering up to 344 seats in both economy and Premium cabins. Norwegian already offers flights from Gatwick to nine US destinations, including newly announced routes to Seattle and Denver.
