CAA Enforce Airline Policies to Support Passengers

UK passengers can now look forward to improved support during disruption, following the UK Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) enforcement action against three major airlines.

The CAA monitors the policies of airline operators and reviews their implementation to ensure compliance with the law and to stand up for passengers' interests. An extensive review of airline policies has led to the CAA taking action against Jet2, Aer Lingus and Wizz Air.

September Tube Strikes Cancelled

The Tube strikes planned for the 8th and 10th September have been suspended. The walk-outs have been called off after London Underground announced a delay to the start of Night Tube. The network's all-night service was due to start on the 12th September but has been pushed back whilst negotiations with the RMT, Unite and the TSSA union continues. The union's remain in dispute over pay and working conditions and if further negotiations prove negative then more industrial action may occur.
