Corporate social responsibility, or CSR is nothing new, in fact the term has been around since the 1960’s. So why is CSR so important, what does it actually mean?
Business dictionary defines CSR as "A company’s sense of responsibility towards the community and environment (both ecological and social) in which it operates".
So who does it apply to?
Well there’s the obvious - colossal corporations, spewing out carbon emissions and other environmentally harmful by-products? But what about small and medium-sized businesses? Do they have a CSR role to play?
