EasyJet announces more new summer routes from Manchester

EasyJet have announced two new routes for Summer 2016 from Manchester Airport, providing passengers with yet more choice for easy and affordable summer destinations. Two more aircraft will be based at Manchester as EasyJet continue to expand routes.

EasyJet will launch a new route to Tivat in Montenegro with twice weekly flights from the 27th March 2016, the only service to the destination by a UK airline outside of London. Tivat is the gateway to the Mediterranean port of Kotor, a UNESCO World heritage site and home to Porto Montenegro.

Virgin's Festive Trains

Virgin Trains unveiled its two Christmas trains, sporting blue liveries at King's Cross Station earlier this month. A Pendolino train has been transformed into a Penguilino and a Class 91 has become a Claus 91. The two trains will run on the West and East Coast routes over the Christmas period and bring a little festive cheer to you journey. The designs came from the winners of the Christmas Train design competition, nine-year-old Amber Maxfield and 11-year-old Madeleine Deakin.

Happy Christmas Jumper Day!

As today is National Christmas Jumper Day we decided to jump on the festive band wagon and use the opportunity to support our chosen charity the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Some of our team decided to brighten up the office today with all manner of Christmas creations, they all looked great and brought a touch of Christmas cheer to Traveleads. All the proceeds raised today will be donated to the YAA and will help save lives this Christmas. As always, we are extremely grateful and proud of the contribution and efforts our staff make to support such a worthy cause.

Travel Warning: Heathrow and Gatwick Airports

Train links to both Heathrow and Gatwick Airport will be disrupted over the festive break.

The Gatwick Express is due to stop running at 21.15 on the 24th December Eve before restarting on the 4th January, plus the main line to the airport will be blocked at Purley for 10 days. The rail link will be subject to route changes throughout Christmas and in some cases replaced by bus services, some of which are not recommended for passengers who require assistance or have heavy luggage. The closure is due to essential plans to double rail capacity at Gatwick by 2020.

Q Hotels £50 Million Investment

Q Hotels will invest £50 million across the group's 27 unique four and five-star hotels across the UK over the next two years. The refurbishment programme will cover all aspects of the hotels including improving and upgrading bedrooms, bathrooms, furnishings and air conditioning and conference and events spaces.
