British Airways introduce direct Durban service

British Airways will become the only carrier to operate a direct flight between Europe and Durban when it launches a three-times-weekly service from London Heathrow to the South African city on 29th October 2018.

The east coast city sits on a golden mile of sand, warmed by the Indian Ocean and frequented by dolphins. Durban is Africa’s busiest port and South Africa’s third largest city with a mesmeric overtone of African culture mixed with Indian and colonial influence.

American Airlines new Premium Economy

Will Qantas operate the first ever non-stop flight from UK to Australia?

Qantas will publish its first scheduled Dreamliner routes by the end of the year, with a direct service between London and Perth a distinct possibility.

The Australian national carrier is set to receive its first Boeing 787 – also known as the Dreamliner – in 2017, and will announce new routes for the plane later this year.

Vietnam Airlines to fly daily from London Heathrow

Vietnam Airlines will increase the London Heathrow to Vietnam Dreamliner service to daily flights from the 23rd June 2016. A new flight to Hanoi each Thursday will join the current offering of three flights a week to Ho Chi Minh City and three flights a week to Hanoi. The change comes six months after the Skyteam member boosted the Ho Chi Minh City route by adding a third weekly flight.

Norwegian Air's UK expansion

Norwegian Air is expanding it's UK services for summer 2016 on brand new Boeing 737-800 aircraft offering passengers free Wi-Fi.

From the 30th April, two weekly flights will depart from Manchester to Barcelona offering nearly 20,000 seats for the summer season. From the 2nd June, four weekly flights will depart Manchester to Malaga and two weekly flights to Alicante will begin from the 3rd June.

New flights from Edinburgh to Barcelona take off from the 15th June with 15,000 seats available this summer.
