Free Wi-Fi for Virgin Trains West Coast passengers

Virgin Trains plan to offer free faster Wi-Fi on their West Coast routes later this year. The planned refit will significantly improve the on-board equipment, and allow the service to be extended to all passengers. The £7.5 million investment is part of a new deal agreed with the Government, which will see Virgin Trains continue to run the West Coast franchise through to at least 31st March 2019.

Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic new joint home at Los Angeles International Airport

There are big changes afoot at Los Angeles International Airport. Delta Air Lines are undertaking one of the largest terminal moves in commercial aviation history, and shifting all its operations from Terminals 5 and 6 to Terminals 2 and 3. This is the first step of Delta’s $1.9 billion investment that will see its two new terminals upgraded over the next four years. The move has taken place over five days, with completion on the 17th May. This means from late May, Delta will be co-located with Virgin Atlantic at LAX Terminal 2.

Jurys Inn Oxford unveils new look following investment

Jurys Inn Oxford has unveiled a brand new look following the completion of the first stage of a £10.8 million investment. During 2016, a full refurbishment has taken place of the 168 existing bedrooms, with an additional 72 bedrooms due to launch in December 2016.

New bedrooms feature the Jurys DREAM bed with detailing of Morris Minors on the walls, reflecting Oxford's manufacturing heritage. All rooms have Wi-Fi as standard. Executive rooms also benefit from Sky TV and mini-bars.

Virgin Trains East Coast boost London Edinburgh services

As part of Virgin Trains East Coast programme a £140 million investment has facillitated a new timetable with 42 additional trains connecting London and Edinburgh every week.

The new services will increase capacity by nearly a third contributing an additional 22,000 seats weekly and provide a near-half-hourly service between the capitals.

Virgin said it has already seen bookings for journeys across the border increase by 15% compared with the same period last year after announcing the increased services.
