'The Tulip' Planned for London’s Skyline

At 1,000ft, “The Tulip”, is proposed to be a tall concrete and glass skyscraper, which (if permission is granted) will become the City of London’s tallest tower. The building will be just one metre short of the Shard, which is the UK's highest building. The structure will sit next to the Gherkin and feature a 12-storey glass bud on top of a 787 foot concreate shaft. With eight floors of viewing platforms, bars, restaurants and entertaining space for 1,500 people, the Tulip will be a multi-function space.

King’s Cross Welcomes New Shopping and Dining Hub (Coal Drops Yard)

The Coal Drops Yard in King’s Cross was originally established in 1850 and handled tonnes of coal each year. On the 26th October, the reinvented area opened its doors to a new shopping and restaurant district in London’s King’s Cross.

The vibrant new shopping district at the centre of King’s Cross will be home to over 50 stores, restaurants and cafes. Alongside that, lower Stable Street has become the new hotspot for pop-ups, live events and experiential stores from a creative collection of established and up-and-coming brands.

Heathrow Offers £1m Incentive to UK’s First Electric Plane

Heathrow is looking to influence its role as one of the world’s leading airports to drive sustainable change across the industry. As a result, they have announced a grand innovation prize, valued at nearly £1million to motivate and encourage airlines to invest in electrical technology. The prize will be awarded to the first electric-hybrid aircraft put into regular service at the UK’s international hub. They will be granted free landing charges at Heathrow for an entire year.

The most expensive city in the world when it comes to business travel is ...

According to reports by ECA International Daily Rates Research London is no longer one of the top ten most expensive cities for business travellers.
The Capital city has been overtaken by Monaco, Basel and Paris.  Findings suggest the strong performance of the Euro has seen costs in other EU cities rise due to exchange rates.
