Jet Airways additional India service

Jet Airways will be increasing its capacity from London Heathrow to Mumbai. With effect from 29th Ocotber 2017, Jet Airways will be offering four daily flights from London Heathrow to India, with three flights to Mumbai and one flight to Delhi. The daily flights to New Delhi and Mumbai will provide connections to Jet Airways full network of 48 destinations within India including Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Goa, Kolkata and Amritsar in India, plus destinations in the Indian subcontinent and Asia such as Dhaka, Bangladesh; Kathmandu, Nepal; and Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Qatar Airways launch flights from Cardiff to Doha and beyond

Qatar Airways is to launch a daily flight from Cardiff Airport to its hub in Doha, Qatar, in 2018.  The new service will be the first regular direct long-haul flight linking Wales and South West England to a major global hub in the Gulf region. It will allow business and leisure travellers to fly directly from their local airport via Doha to a choice of over 150 destinations across the globe in Asia, Australasia, Africa and the Middle East. The new service from Cardiff will be the latest addition to a growing network of destinations that Qatar Airways serves across the UK and Ireland.

Virgin Atlantic and Jet Airways have joined forces to bring convenient new travel options to customers flying via London Heathrow to India and the US. China Southern Airlines increase London to Guangzhou flights

This summer China Southern Airlines will offer a second daily departure aboard a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft between London Heathrow and Guangzhou. From 1st June 2017, this will mean China Southern Airlines will offer 41 weekly departures between Western Europe and China. Guangzhou, the third largest city in China, has plenty to offer the curious traveller; a beautiful riverfront, ancient temples, delicious Cantonese food and fantastic shopping.

British Airways change to cashless only airport payments

From 1st April 2017, British Airways will be unable to accept cash payments at London Heathrow, London Gatwick and many of the airports they operate from in North America. This includes all types of payments, such as for extra bags, additional/exit row seats, changes to tickets, service charges, etc.

Customers who cannot pay with a credit or debit card should check with a member of staff at the airport to find out if options are available for converting cash to a payment card as this varies by airport:

Strong gales cause flight cancellations and disruption.

High winds and stormy conditions are forecast for the UK over the next few days, particularly Scotland and the north of England. The storm that is flowing in from the Atlantic has been named as Storm Doris.
For today, Wednesday 22nd February, strong winds are forecast for London Heathrow which has resulted in a reduced flow rate for aircraft landing at the airport. Unfortunately the reduction in flow rate will affect all airlines operating at LHR.

Virgin Atlantic increase West Coast connections

Virgin Atlantic, in conjunction with Delta, is updating is summer schedule to give customers a better choice of flights to the West Coast. From 1st May to 28th October, they will offer a third non-stop daily service between London Heathrow and Los Angeles International Airport.
