Introducing the SAS New Experience

SAS Scandinavian Airlines are upgrading their fleet with 30 new A320neo aircraft, the most efficient and environmentally-friendly aircraft for mid-range travel. The A320neo burns 15-20% less fuel per flight compared to the aircraft used today, and will therefore help SAS achieve its sustainability goals.

In addition to 30 brand new aircraft, the remaining 70 planes will be refitted with the new cabin between 2017 and 2019. To make the journey even more comfortable, the seats in the new cabin will be equipped with comfort cushions, a further recline and a new 30" seat width.

Summertime has arrived with SAS

SAS Scandinavian Airlines have launched their summer timetable for 2017 with new and exciting destinations. SAS is launching a total of seven new year-round routes and ten summer peak-season routes from Scandinavia. SAS is also increasing the number of departures to many popular destinations over the summer, with a total of 390,000 additional seats to Spain, Portugal and Croatia.

SAS launch new Ibiza route for summer 2017

From the 28th June, SAS will fly direct between Stockholm and Ibiza, with departures every Wednesday in the peak summer season. The route will compliment their current summer offerings to Malaga, Palma, Palermo, Nice and Split. SAS are also continuing to develop their network with further new direct routes to Lisbon, Malta, the Faroe Islands, Pristina and Shannon.

SAS upgrade cabins and introduce a seamless Wi-Fi service

Following a positive reception for the upgraded long haul aircraft SAS is making investments to implement upgrades across its entire short and medium haul fleet.

The first aircraft with the refreshed cabin interior will be SAS’s new A320NEO, which in addition to extra leg room, new and more comfortable seats, a lighting system that aligns with the time of day and USB outlets at seats to keep personal devices charged, will also offer 15-20% lower fuel consumption.

New edition to SAS fleet

SAS are now flying their first new Airbus A320neo on routes within Europe. The A320neo is central to developing a more environmentally-friendly SAS fleet. Not only that, the new cabin offers more legroom and during 2017 it will also be fitted with Europes fastest onboard Wi-Fi.

SAS is working to upgrade its entire short and medium haul fleet of 100 planes, with 30 being replaced with the new A320neo's. The most efficient and environmentally-friendly aircraft burns 15-20% less fuel and will help SAS acheieve its sustainibility goals.

All SAS long-haul aircraft have been upgraded with an ultra modern interior design and new seats in all classes designed to enchance passenger comfort. The materials and color scheme in the new cabins have been chosen to create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.
