A German public sector strike has been declared for Tuesday 10 April. ABTA released the following advice earlier today:
We understand that this strike action will extend to airports across Germany. Labour union Verdi, which is asking for a pay-rise for various public sector roles, has said flight disruption is likely with ground staff and some fire services staff predicted to be on strike at Frankfurt, Munich, Cologne and Bremen airports.
Disruption is anticipated throughout tomorrow, with airports warning of expected longer waiting during the entire day.
