Transpennine Express: Complimentary Travel to Armed Forces this Remembrance Weekend

On both Saturday 10th November and Sunday 11th November 2018, free travel will be provided to any serving members of the armed forces, veterans, cadets as well as volunteers selling poppies. This is to ensure that journeys to attend any Remembrance Day events are made simple and easy.

To be eligible, armed forces can either travel in uniform or bring along a military identification card. Veterans can carry identification in the form of the MOD issued veteran’s Badge.

Additional rail compensation scheme goes live

TransPennine Express (TPE) has today launched an extra compensation scheme for rail customers following the May timetable change.
Non-season ticket holders (for example, those that work part-time) who were affected by the disruption are being given the chance to apply for a full refund on specific routes across the North.
The scheme is in addition to the existing compensation scheme already available for season ticket holders.

TransPennine Express announce enhanced delay compensation scheme

TransPennine Express in collaboration with Northern, will be extending and enhancing their temporary compensation scheme for any regular travellers (without Season Tickets) that experienced delays and cancellations from 20 May to 30 June. The following routes will be eligible:

• Manchester Airport to Lancaster
• Liverpool to Scarborough
• Liverpool to Newcastle
• Manchester Airport – Middlesbrough
• Manchester Piccadilly – Hull
• Manchester Piccadilly – Leeds

TransPennine Express shares go live date for additional compensation scheme

TransPennine Express (TPE) has announced the go live date for its additional May timetable customer compensation scheme.
Compensation is being offered to a number of customers across certain routes following disruption caused by the May timetable change with TPEs scheme set to launch on Monday 23 July 2018.
Season ticket holders that travel on specific routes will be eligible for compensation and will be able to submit their claim online through TPE’s website.  Those with multi-modal and zonal tickets will also be entitled to compensation.

West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester set to benefit from improved connectivity with TransPennine Express

People in West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester are set to benefit from improved connectivity, new journey opportunities and enhanced reliability as part of a transformational timetable change by TransPennine Express (TPE) making it even easier to travel to work, or plan a day out with friends or family. 
Part of the Great North Rail Project (GNRP), the changes will come into effect from 20 May 2018 and will see the train company operating six trains an hour across the Pennines between Leeds, Huddersfield and Manchester.
